2021 CRISP Student Advocacy Day

$25 Registration Fee
Join students, faculty, and social workers throughout the nation for CRISP’s annual Student Advocacy Day. The day begins at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time and 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time with an opening plenary session with guest speakers and orientation. Following the plenary, students will attend Zoom meetings with a congressional staffer to advocate for legislation important to social work and the populations we serve. LUISA LOPEZ
President at Latino Social Work Coalition
Luisa Lopez is a young dynamic social worker on a mission to change society as we know it. She is currently the Director of Digital Media at the Manhattan Borough President’s Office where she is responsible for keeping the 8.7 million residents of the Borough informed about local developments. Prior to this job, she was the Chief of Staff for the New York City Council. She earned her MSW degree at the Silver School of Social Work at New York University. She is also an adjunct lecturer at Columbia University School of Social Work.
