Join hundreds of students from social work schools and departments from all across the country for an exciting day in the nation’s capital! This event is sponsored by the Congressional Research Institute for Social Work and Policy and the Nancy A. Humphreys Institute for Political Social Work at the University of Connecticut.
Our day will begin with a morning program tentatively scheduled in the Congressional Auditorium in the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC). Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. for registration. The program will begin at 9:00 a.m. Check back soon for program details.
Congressional Office Visits
Following the morning programs you will disperse to visit offices in both the House of Representavies and Senate. These visits are being scheduled by Prime Advocacy, so it is important that you register as early as possible. Visits are being scheduled using addresses provided in the registration form. However, you are free to visit other offices of your choosing.
The CRISP leadership team will select bills that we believe are important in advancing economic and social justice. We suggest these bills, but you are free to advocate for other legislation that you believe is important.
